How to create distinct activities

Start by searching on GetYourGuide for the destination you operate in, or the itinerary/type of product you offer. You can use the filters to narrow down the activities in the search results. Then, look through the existing products to understand what is already offered to customers. 

If the activity you offer is already available on GetYourGuide, you can increase its likelihood of getting accepted onto the platform by, for example, offering some of the following:

  • Guides/hosts who speak languages not currently offered

  • Operating on days not currently offered e.g. weekdays or holidays

  • Different group format, like small or private groups

  • Unique itineraries

To illustrate even further, you can consider:

  • Highlighting the truly unique aspects of your activity that competitors don't offer. These could be special features, experiences or inclusions like, as one example, an added stop for ice cream or refreshments at a local hangout.

  • Targeting an under-served audience or niche/special theme that other similar activities don't address, such as a budget tour for backpackers or an LGBT history tour of the destination. 

  • Including local expertise or access that only you can provide like special access before a museum is officially open to visitors.
