Read this to learn what the Official Ticket badge is, whether you qualify, and how to apply.
What is the "Official Ticket" and/or "Official Tour" badge?
The "Official Ticket" and/or "Official Tour" badge is a designation exclusively awarded to official distributors and authorized resellers of Entry tickets or Guided Tours for fixed physical attractions (such as landmarks, monuments, museums, theme parks, or major named production shows).
This badge highlights the authenticity of your product and builds trust with customers.

Who qualifies for the badge?
To be considered for the badge, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You are an official distributor or authorized reseller of the attraction’s tickets, and can provide documentation to prove this.
- Your activity is a standalone Entry ticket that visits a fixed, permanent physical venue such as a landmark, monument, museum, theme park, heritage site, or a major named production (e.g., Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle, Six Flags parks, the Louvre, Sagrada Família, Berlin Zoo, Cirque du Soleil). Only standalone Entry Ticket products are eligible for review at this moment.
- ALL of your activities meet the above criteria of being official. The badge can only be applied at the supplier level — we are not able to badge individual tours selectively. If only some of your activities meet the criteria, unfortunately you do not qualify.
Who does not qualify?
The following product types are not eligible, regardless of whether a ticket is involved:
- Experience or activity-based products - e.g., ATV tours, boat cruises, cooking classes, walking tours
- Combined or bundled products - e.g., Guided Tour + Entry Ticket, Boat Cruise + Entry Ticket
- Standalone entry tickets that do not grant access to a fixed physical venue or landmark — if the ticket is for an activity, experience, or event rather than entry into a permanent attraction or a major named production, it is not eligible
How to apply for the badge
If you meet the criteria, please submit your proof of authorization via the contact form. Your submission must include:
- The name of the attraction/landmark you are applying for. Be specific — include the full official name and location (e.g., “9/11 Museum, New York" or "Eiffel Tower, Paris, France"). Applications that do not clearly identify the attraction or show will not be reviewed.
-
Proof of your authorization status, such as:
- A letter or document from the attraction or production confirming your status as an official distributor or authorized reseller
- A signed contract or agreement that clearly outlines your authorization
Proof is mandatory. Applications submitted without valid proof of authorization will not be reviewed.
Important Notes
- Proof is mandatory: If you cannot provide proof of your status, your request will not be considered, and you will not be eligible for the badge.
-
Eligibility restrictions:
- Only standalone Entry Ticket products that grant access to a fixed physical venue or landmark or a major named production are eligible for review.
- Products that combine an activity with an entry ticket (e.g., Guided Tour + Entry Ticket, Boat Cruise + Entry Ticket) are not eligible for the badge at this time.
- GetYourGuide reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, what constitutes an eligible attraction for the purposes of this badge.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why is proof of authorization required?
Proof ensures that only official distributors or authorized resellers receive the badge, maintaining the badge's credibility and trustworthiness.
2. Can I apply for the badge for combined products?
No, only standalone Entry Ticket products are eligible for the badge. Combined products are not reviewed for this designation.
3. I sell both official and non-official tickets for the same attraction or show. Can I badge just the official ones?
No. The badge cannot be applied to individual products selectively. To qualify, all of your entry ticket products for that attraction or show must be official. If you have a mix of official and non-official products, you are not eligible.
4. How long does the review process take?
The review timeline may vary based on the volume of requests. Ensure you provide all required documentation to avoid delays.
5. What happens if my application is denied?
If your application is denied, it is likely due to insufficient proof of authorization or not meeting eligibility criteria. If you believe your product qualifies, you may reapply with stronger documentation.
