Setting up cut-off times for your product

What is a cut-off time?
Cut-off time is the minimum length of time before your product starts when it is still possible for customers to book. For example, if your tour begins at 11:00 AM, and its cut-off time is set to 3 hours, it will be possible to book up until 8:00 AM on the same day.

The cut off time can be edited on a product level or on a time slot level. Here's how:

Updating your cut-off time on product level

1. Go to Manage > Products
2. Select the product you wish to update.
3. Click Edit Option.
4. In the left-hand side menu, go to Cut-off.
5. Select the cut-off time needed from the drop-down menu.

Save and continue

7. NEW: Maximize your sales with last-minute bookings. If you are not using a reservation system* and want to capture those last-minute bookings, you can now select "Set cut-off to 0 minutes after the first booking is made."

This feature ensures that once the first booking is confirmed, your product remains bookable right up to the start time, driving more sales and filling up those last-minute spots.

Updating your cut-off time on time slot level 

If you know that your tour will begin at a specific starting time, you can lower the cut-off time for that particular time slot to make sure the remaining spots are booked. Updating your cut-off time on time slot level enables you even more last minute availability. 

For example, you can update your cut-off time for your 10 AM tour to 0 hours and keep your 3 PM tour set with a 3 hour cut-off time. 

To change the cut-off time on time slot level:
1. Go to the Availability tab in the top navigation bar
2. Select the time slot you wish to edit.
3. Click the blue Edit button next to the cut-off time. 
4. Select the cut-off time needed > Click Save

  • What are the maximum and minimum cut-off times I can set?
    The maximum cut-off time you can select is 10 hours, and the minimum is 0 hours. 
  • How is the cut-off time determined for connected products?

    We receive cutoff from your reservation system. If your reservation system doesn't send us any cut-off value, we use the value set in the Supplier Portal.

  • Why is having a short cut-off time beneficial?
    A short cut-off time ensures you don’t miss out on potential last-minute customers.
