Payment Types for GetYourGuide Suppliers

You can read this to learn how to set up payment types for your GetYourGuide account.

Payment Types Overview

Suppliers signing up with GetYourGuide can choose between two primary payment types based on their location and currency:
- Bank Transfer
- PayPal (if available)

Bank Transfer Options

The bank transfer option is further divided into three sub-options to optimize the payment process and minimize fees for suppliers:
Local Bank Transfer: For suppliers located in the same country as the payment processing centre for selected currencies. AUD, BGN, CAD, DKK, GBP, HUF, IDR, ILS, INR, JMD, MAD, MXN, NOK, NZD, PLN, RON, SEK, SGD, USD.
SEPA Bank Transfer: For suppliers located within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) zone + EURO currency.
International Bank Transfer: For suppliers outside the local payment and SEPA zones.

Automatic Payment Configuration

When a supplier selects the bank transfer option, the system automatically configures the most advantageous payment method based on the supplier's bank account country and currency to avoid unnecessary fees.

Here are some examples:

  • Suppliers with a bank account in the SEPA zone + EURO currency will be configured for SEPA bank transfers.
  • Suppliers with a local bank account in the same country as the payment processing centre will be configured for local bank transfers. (For selected currencies)
  • Suppliers outside these categories will be set up for international bank transfers.

This automatic configuration ensures that suppliers benefit from the most cost-effective payment method available.
