Verification on GetYourGuide: What It Is and Where to Get Help

Learn what supplier verification is, why it's required by law, and find all the resources you need to complete it successfully on GetYourGuide.

What is verification?

Verification confirms your identity and, for companies, that your business is officially registered. It’s required by law (EU Digital Services Act) before you can submit activities on GetYourGuide.

On GetYourGuide, verification is powered by Persona, a secure identity verification partner. If you have your documents ready, it usually takes just a few minutes.

Watch: How verification works

Key things to know before getting verified

  • There are two types of checks: Companies complete a business check (KYB) + identity check (KYC). Individual traders complete only an identity check (KYC).
  • Business type matters: The business type you picked during registration (e.g. registered company, individual trader, or another type of organization like non-profit or government entity) determines your verification flow. If your business type was set incorrectly during registration, this can cause verification to fail.  If you think your business type is wrong, contact Supplier Support before starting verification and they can update it for you.
  • 3 attempts: You have 3 tries to pass. Fix the specific issue before resubmitting.
