A launch offer is a pre-configured, time-limited discount you can apply to a new activity right after submitting it - in a single click. No forms to fill in, no dates to set, no options to configure. The system handles everything for you.
Activities with a launch offer can get up to 25% more bookings and more visibility in search results during the critical first 30 days after going live.
Note: The launch offer feature is available directly after you submit a new activity for review. It appears as a call-to-action on the product confirmation screen.
Why the first 30 days matter
New activities on GetYourGuide often start with low visibility in search results because they don't yet have booking history or customer reviews. This makes it harder to attract your first customers - even if your experience is excellent.
A time-limited discount helps break this cycle by:

How to create a launch offer
After submitting a new activity, you'll be redirected to the Launch Offer page automatically.
- Select one of the two available discount templates:
- 20% for 30 days (recommended)
- 10% for 30 days
- Click Create launch offer.
That's it. The offer applies to all options and pricing categories of your activity. The start and end dates are calculated automatically - no manual input needed.
Once the offer is created, you'll be redirected to the Manage special offers page, where you'll see a confirmation message: "Your launch offer was created successfully."
Your launch offer will appear in your special offers list, labeled Launch Offer, with the discount percentage and offer period clearly displayed.
Tip: The 20% discount is recommended because a higher discount increases the likelihood of securing your first bookings quickly, which in turn improves your search ranking for the long term.
Frequently asked questions
Can I skip the launch offer and create one later?
Yes. The launch offer page is optional. If you skip it, you can still create a special offer manually at any time via Create > Special offer in the Supplier Portal. Keep in mind that the one-click setup is only available immediately after submitting a new activity.
Does the launch offer apply to all options of my activity?
Yes. The launch offer automatically applies to all options and pricing categories of the activity. You don't need to select them individually.
Can I edit or cancel the launch offer after creating it?
Yes. Once created, your launch offer appears in the Manage special offers section, where you can pause or manage it like any other special offer.
What happens after the 30 days are over?
The offer expires automatically. Your activity continues to be listed on GetYourGuide at its standard price. By that point, the early bookings and reviews you've collected will help sustain your visibility.
